Clean, renewable and economical solar energy solutions lower your utility bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
In South Florida, most residences and commercial buildings have more than enough sun exposure for solar power.
Businesses can benefit from the tax and utility advantages of solar power even if they do not own the property.
Solar panels do not have to be placed on your roof. Patios, carports and walkways can also be feasible locations.
Photovoltaic solar power collection systems can produce even greater savings when a solar water heater is added.
Combine solar collectors for pool heating, electricity and water heating to yield maximum return on investment.
How your solar power solution is configured can make a big difference in terms of energy yields and money saved.
Heliotropics LLC is a partnership between a licensed Florida construction contractor and an electrical engineer.
The solar power professionals at Heliotropics don't just install solar panels ... they engineer renewable energy systems!
Nothing demonstrates a commitment to environmentally friendly and energy conscious living like a full solar
photovoltaic system. Each grid-connected system should be custom designed to the property and its energy requirements.
Heliotropics is owned and operated by an electrical engineer who will personally configure panel arrays, siting,
inverters and all the safety features needed to maximize the benefits of your solar energy investment.

Solar water heaters are the most efficient of all solar technologies available today. The Florida State Energy Office estimates that the average all-electric Florida home uses 30% of it's electric energy just to heat water!
Heliotropics offers custom designed systems to heat water automatically with solar energy using the electric utility power as an automatic backup. We use premium quality components. Our collectors are lightweight and high efficiency and have a 10 year limited warranty. They are tested and certified to meet the stringent Miami-Dade codes. The storage tank looks like a conventional electric water heater and is built from similar components. It will have a lifespan similar to electric water heaters.
There are several ways to configure a solar hot water system. Our systems add premium features such as tempering valves so the water at the tap never gets too hot. Also available are automatic freeze protection, intelligent differential controllers, and other options to customize the installation to your needs.
We will visit your home to quote the solar hot water system that is ideal for you. Call us today and begin saving money while adding value to your home or business.
Have you checked your attic fan lately?
An attic fan is an important part of your home. It draws cool fresh air inside by blowing the hot damp air out. This prevents the formation of molds and mildew, reduces the load on your air conditioner, and extends the life of your roofing material.
Conventional attic fans churn all day long and consume electricity whether or not they are needed at that moment. In some homes the fan burned out long ago, but they still take power anyway!
We can install a new Solar Star™ attic fan that will draw cool fresh air throughout the day when it is most needed and protect your valuable investment. Solar Star is the leader in solar powered attic ventilation, bringing you the most technically-advanced, environmentally-friendly, ventilation solution available today. And it costs nothing to operate!
Heliotropics is proud to offer Solatube™ daylighting systems for commercial and residential properties. Unlike skylights, daylights bring sunlight indoors without harsh sunbeams and hot spots that travel across the room throughout the day. Daylight is captured through a small dome on the roof and piped through the attic to a diffuser on the ceiling that looks like a light fixture.
Daylights can be placed in locations where a traditional skylight cannot be used, such as rooms without direct roof access. It is an ideal solution for hallways, interior bathrooms and other spaces that cannot benefit from windows.
Daylighting brings many benefits, besides the obvious free illumination. Your interiors are lit with a light that is, by definition, naturally color balanced. Since infrared and ultraviolet light is largely filtered out, there is less heat gain than a light bulb, so the overall air conditioning load is reduced.
If a room may require occasional darkening in the daytime, such as a bedroom or media room, an optional "daylight dimmer" can be added. The daylight can also be equipped with a conventional lamp fixture so it can be used to replace an existing room light and provide illumination at night.
Daylights are available in different sizes and several decorator finishes. Ask us to show you how to incorporate daylighting in your home or office building.
